Meet Our Instructors

Kim Bagnoni- Past ASC Commodore/ SAYRA Jr Chair, Kim is still very active in the Junior Program, focusing on High School Sailing, Team Travel, Community Sailing, and Sail Camp. You can find her and Dan out on the water almost every Sunday working with the Juniors. (Level 3 US Sailing Instructor)

Dan Bagnoni - Dan has been a long-time member dating back to 2016 and sailing since 2005. When it comes to our junior program, Dan states, "Our goal is for the kids to improve their sailing and leadership skills in a safe and positive environment." He serves as assistant coach and does whatever Kim tells him to do. (Level 1 US Sailing Instructor)

Eli Putnam - Eli, ASC Past Commodore, volunteers his Sundays working with the kids on a variety of boats.  Eli grew up sailing at ASC and has been instrumental in revitalizing the Junior Program. We are fortunate to have his knowledge, experience, and leadership. (Level 1 US Sailing Instructor)

Tim Sparks - Tim is a US Sailing level 2 Instructor, as well as a licensed USCG captain. He was an intercollegiate dinghy sailor at the U.S. Naval Academy and has competed in the Capri 22 Nationals and Sunfish North Americans.  We are very excited to have him working with our juniors.

Marcus Moehlman - Marcus helps out with coaching. He is an experienced sailor and excellent leader.

Jim Holder - Jim is a Level 3 US Sailing Certified Coach with one International, 3 North American, and 5 National Championships. We are extremely fortunate to have his knowledge and experience.

Junior Racers and Parents - Our ASC junior race team serves as leaders by volunteering at summer sail camp, teaching other kids to learn to sail.  We appreciate all the parents that volunteer their time organizing events, helping on the beach and on race committee, and coordinating races and practices.
